Then layered over a compelling collage composition intentionally selected from vintage book pages, documents, and eclectic papers. Each piece has a gorgeous grungy perimeter and covered in endearing encaustic medium.

The Peony Has Questions
For several months the wax/resin will go through a curing process in which the surface continues to harden. During this time moisture and impurities may work their way to the surface causing a 'bloom' or matte look. Gently polish with a clean soft cloth (like fleece or cheap panty hose). Do not use cleaners or solvents. As time goes by and the wax/resin has had a chance to cure and harden it will keep its polished look. The wax melts and runs at 162°F. Do not expose your encaustic art to direct heat sources such has sunlight, fireplaces or cooking heat.
